Viridon Services LLC and its affiliated entities (Collectively, "Viridon," "we," "us," or "our") respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information that we collect from consumers. We make reasonable efforts to protect the personal information we hold about you.


This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Viridon and its affiliated entities, collect, use, disclose, safeguard, and otherwise process personal information across our digital platforms and throughout our broader business activities. This includes information collected through  www.viridon.com  ("Site") and through our affiliated entities, including www.calgrid.com  and other Viridon affiliates, under common ownership or control and that processes personal information in connection with the services described in this policy, as well as information gathered through our communications, contractual relationships, project activities, and day-to-day operations. Viridon Services LLC is the primary business and controller of personal information provided to, collected by, or processed on our behalf, for the services described in this policy.


In certain circumstances, a separate written agreement between you and Viridon or our affiliated entities may govern the collection and use of personal information. In the event of a conflict, the applicable contractual terms will control, to the extent permitted by law.

"Personal Information" is any information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with a particular consumer or household.


We collect (and may have collected in the preceding twelve (12) months) the following online categories of personal information:


  1. Online Identifiers , such as your unique personal identifier, email address, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, or geolocation, cookie identifiers, pixel tags, or other similar information.
  2. Internet or network activity information , such as browsing activity, pages viewed, interactions with the Site, and referring URLs.

We collect (and may have collected in the preceding twelve (12) months) the following offline categories of personal information:


  • Commercial Information , such as agreement contracts, purchase or acquisition records, purchase or transaction history, compensation records, and services obtained or considered.
  • Professional or employment-related information , such as organization name or job title, legal name, email address, postal address; or other similar information.
  • Sensitive personal information , such as social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account information, or other government-issued identifiers

Personal information does not include publicly available information lawfully made available from federal, state, or local government records, or information that a consumer has otherwise made publicly available without restriction.


We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use personal information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you with notice.


Aggregated and De-Identified Information

We may aggregate and/or de-identify information and use it internally or disclose it to third parties. Aggregated information and de-identified information (defined below) are not considered personal information.


  • "Aggregated information" refers to information about a group of individuals from which individual identifiers have been removed. For example, aggregated information may include statistics showing that 20 people used our Site’s "Contact Us" webform on a given day.
  • "De-identified information" refers to information that has been subjected to reasonable measures to ensure it cannot be associated with a particular individual. For example, de-identified information may include a data point showing that an unidentified visitor first entered the Site through our main webpage.

We maintain de-identified information in de-identified form and do not attempt to re-identify it, except as necessary to verify that our de-identified processes are functioning properly.

Why We Collect Your Personal Information

At Viridon, we only collect information that is reasonably necessary and proportionate to achieve the purposes described below, consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), and other applicable laws.


To Operate Our Business and Energy Infrastructure Projects

We collect personal information to plan, develop, and manage our energy infrastructure projects and related operations. This includes evaluating project feasibility and performance, coordinating with stakeholders, managing contracts, supporting regulatory communications, and improving the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of our systems. We may also use personal information to maintain operational efficiency, train personnel, and conduct quality control.


To Communicate and Manage Relationships

We collect personal information to communicate with you, respond to inquiries, verify your identity, manage contractual relationships, and provide updates regarding our services or projects. This may include working with landowners, easement holders, business affiliates, vendors, contractors, and regulatory contacts.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, maintain security, measure website performance, and understand aggregate user trends. We use Plausible Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate website usage information, such as pages visited, referral sources, browser type, operating system, device type, and general location derived from IP address. Plausible does not use cookies, create persistent identifiers, store raw IP addresses, or track visitors across websites, devices, or sessions.


We do not use analytics tools for cross-context behavior advertising or targeted advertising. If we use cookies or similar technologies that requires notice or consent, we will provide applicable choices through our cookie preference tool. Categories of Personal Information Sold or Shared with Third Parties

We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We use Plausible Analytics for aggregate website performance analytics. Plausible is designed to measure website traffic without using cookies, creating persistent identifiers, storing raw IP addresses, or tracking visitors across websites, devices, or sessions. We may disclose limited information to service providers to use the information only to provide services to us and not for their own advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.


For purposes of this policy, the following terms have the meanings given to them under the CCPA and CPRA:

  • ""Sell"" is defined as making available personal information to "a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration."
  • "Share" is defined as making available personal information to "a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration."
  • "Cross-context behavioral advertising" is targeted to a consumer based on the consumer’s personal information obtained from the consumer’s activity across businesses, distinctly branded internet websites, applications, or services.

If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required opt-out rights under applicable law.


We do not have actual knowledge that we have sold or shared the Personal Information of consumers under the age of 16 in the preceding twelve (12) months. If we obtain actual knowledge that we have processed, sold, or shared the personal information of a consumer under 16 without the required opt-in consent, we will promptly cease doing so and take appropriate steps to comply with applicable law.

How to Exercise Your Rights Related to Access or Data Portability

To exercise applicable privacy rights, please contact us using the information provided below. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. Please note that you may only make CCPA/CPRA-related data access or data portability disclosure request twice within a 12-month period.

  • A description of what rights you want to exercise and the information to which your request relates.

We are not obligated to make a data access or data portability disclosure if we cannot verify that the person making the request is the person about whom we collected information, or is someone authorized to act on such person’s behalf.


We will disclose and deliver the requested information, or make the requested correction or deletion, within 45 days of receiving a verifiable consumer request. This time period may be extended by an additional 45 days when reasonably necessary, provided we notify you if the extension is within the initial 45-day period.


Any personal information we collect from you to verify your identity in connection with your request will be used solely for the purposes of verification.
